William Sturgeon- Invented the electromagnet in 1825. His first electromagnet was a horseshoe - shaped piece of iron. That was wrapped with a coil few times. When a current passed through the coil the electromagnet was magnetized when it stopped it was De- magnetized.
Han Christian Oersted - He found the generation of a magnetic field by doing a electric current by a observation of a compass needle.This was the first time of a movement of electric current.
